WE NEED YOU TO SERVE…
With each passing year, we have fewer and fewer liturgical ministers serving at our weekend Masses. SATURDAY, October 25, at 11:00 AM, we will have a training session in church for all new LECTORS and EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION. On SUNDAY, October 26, at 12:30 PM, we will have a training session for all new ALTAR SERVERS. We are blessed to have children, youth, adults and married couples among our current altar servers. Is the Lord calling YOU to this beautiful way of serving and growing in your participation at Mass? Pray, listen, discuss, and phone the parish office this week to register for your training.

EIN PROSIT…
Those of you who are of German descent might remember the popular song that is sung at Oktoberfest and other celebrations. It is called "Ein Prosit," with lyrics that mean "A toast, a toast, to cheer and good times." After singing the song, people raise their mugs and shout "Eins, Zwei, Drei, Zuffa!” "One, two, three, drink up!" This helps create a warm, friendly, and communal atmosphere. Our local Knights of Columbus Pope Pius X Council #3848 is hosting a night of “Octoberfest” – with music, beer and food – FRIDAY, October 24, from 5 pm to 11 pm in the parish center hall. The suggested donation is $5.00 per person, with children under 10 admitted free. There will be a 50/50 raffle and basket prizes, with profits going toward the K of C’s favorite charities.
