SPEAKING OF SUPPORT…
Another way our parish supports the missionary activity of the Church is through our participation in the annual Missionary Cooperation Plan. A missionary from somewhere around the world speaks to us of the ministry that their particular group does, and asks us -- begs us -- to roll up our sleeves by digging in our pockets our purses and our prayers to support the cause.
This year, we welcome Sister Donato Gerard from the Franciscan Sisters of St. Bernadette from Africa, by way of Dunmore, Pennsylvania. Special envelopes are on the sides of the Sunday offering collection boxes. Bless you all!
LORD, BLESS THE WORK OF OUR HANDS…
Join us September 1, Monday, at 9 AM at ST. EPHREM Church, 38900 Dodge Park at 17 Mike Road. As a “Saints among the Saints” Family of Parishes, the clergy in our four-parish “Family” agreed to rotate the lesser legal holidays for Mass. This year, it is St. Ephrem’s turn to host the Weekday Mass.
